Privacy Policy
The short version: Clipter works entirely on your Mac. We don't collect your footage, your audio or any personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or trackers in the app.
1. Your videos and audio
All analysis, silence detection, audio syncing, previewing and exporting happen locally on your Mac. Your media files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Clipter only reads the files you choose, and only writes the files you ask it to save.
2. Information we collect
Clipter does not collect, store or transmit personal information. It does not contain advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software, and it does not require you to create an account.
Your settings (for example your preferred export format) are stored only on your Mac.
3. Purchases and the free trial
The free trial and the full version are handled through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and gives Clipter a signed record that tells it whether you have started the trial or bought the app. We never receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Apple's handling of this information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
4. Network use
The only network connections Clipter makes are to Apple's App Store services, to load prices and check your purchase. Links in the app (Help, Privacy, Contact) open in your browser or email app.
5. Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you. We don't sell or share it, and we delete it on request.
6. This website
clipter.app does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so Google may receive your IP address when you visit; see Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Children
Clipter is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Because Clipter doesn't collect personal data, we don't expect changes to affect you.
